Wolle

Damit das hier nicht ein reiner Hühnerblog wird, zwischendurch etwas Wolle zur Auflockerung.

Ich habe euch ja schon früher von Old Maiden Aunt Wolle vorgeschwärmt und erzählt und neulich auf Ravelry habe ich gelesen, dass Lilith schreibt, sie ist jetzt dann Umsatzsteuerpflichtig und deshalb wird natürlich die Wolle  (um die Umsatzsteuer) teurer. Da habe ich schnell noch einmal zugeschlagen. Aber wie könnte ich  bei dieser Versuchung auch nicht?

Alpaca/Silk in baobhan sith (DK weight)

80% superfine alpaca & 20% silk; each skein has 100 grams & 280 yards. a “baobhan sith” is a mythical scottish vampire who can transform into a wolf; this colourway has been handpainted in rich, deep reds touched with brown & black (wolf fur splashed with blood).

50% baby suri alpaca, 30% extra fine merino, 20% silk; each skein has 100 grams & 1300 yards, more than enough for a full-sized shawl.a ghillie dhu (also gillie dubh, scots gaelic for dark-haired lad) is one of the scottish fairy folk (sidhe), a wild guardian of the forest. this colourway has been handpainted in shades of moss-green & brown.  

this skein is flawed & is being sold at a discounted price.  a tie was slightly too tight during dyeing, and the second "overlay" dye has not taken in one section, leaving a yellow patch in the skein (visible at the front of the photo). 

Die englischen Beschreibungen sind direkt von der Produktseite von Old Maiden Aunt. Ich liebe ihre Farbbeschreibungen, vorallem "Wolf fur splashed with blood". Bei dieser Beschreibung musste ich einfach einmal etwas in diesem Farbton bestellen.
