Und wieder Wolle ;)

Heute ist mein Glückstag. Die beim Strickgutshop (www.strickgutshop.at) bestellte Wolle ist auch noch gekommen. Da kommt richtig Weihnachtsstimmung auf.

Today is my lucky day. The yarn ordered at Strickgutshop also arrived. Feels like Christmas!

Wolle!!!!

Die lang erwartete Wolle aus Uruguay ist da! Sie ist wunderbar weich und kuschelig. Aber werde ich mit 4 Strängen genug haben? Ein Strang ist 215 yd. Mal sehen, sonst kann man ja eventuell was nachbestellen ;)

The yarn from Uruguay arrived today. It is wonderful soft. I hope I will have enough with 4 hanks. Maybe I will order more...not today, but someday;)

Jaywalker angefangen

Der Sonntag war kalt und windig und außerdem mußte ich dringend einmal wieder etwas Neues versuchen. Also habe ich aus Merinowolle aus meinem Vorrat die Jaywalker angeschlagen. Das Muster ist nett und sieht nach viel mehr aus als eigentlich dahinter steckt.


Sunday was cold and windy here and I needed to try out something new. So I started the Jaywalkers with a blue merino yarn from the (ever growing) stash. The pattern is nice and easy and looks good.

Neue Wolle

Heute hat mir der Postbote die bei ebay ersteigerte Wolle gebracht ;)

Boatneck Bluebell Sweater-artiger Pullover aus Manos del Uruguay

Aus den 5 Strängen violettfarbiger Manos wollte ich einen Pulli für mich stricken. Natürlich hat die Maschenprobe wieder einmal nicht gepaßt also mußte ich etwas herumrechnen. Als Vorlage diente der Boatneck Bluebell Sweater aus "Fitted Knits".

Es geht recht schnell und einfach zu stricken, aber ich werde langsam nervös weil ich nur mehr einen Strang Wolle und noch keine Ärmel habe!


From my 5 hanks Manos del Uruguay in variated purples I anted to make a sweater for me. I used the "Boatneck Bluebell Sweater" Pattern from "Fitted Knits" . Unfortunatly my gauge didn´t match and so I had to do some maths to make it. I really enjoyed the knitting so far, as it is quite simple and fast growing. But now I am getting nervous. I have only one hank wool left and still no sleeves!

Needles 4mm/ gauge 16sts
4mm Nadelspiel 16M auf 10 cm

My super simple hat pattern

CO 90sts, 2,5cm ribbing (1k tbl, 2p). Until pieces measures 12-13cm knit in stst. Place 5 markes (every 18 st) and start decreasing.

1.rd k2tog before each marker.
rd 2+3 knit. repeat r1-3 3times
repeat row1, knit next row (3times)
knit 2tog until only 4 sts on needle.
Make small i-cord. Sew in ends.

Mein super einfaches Kappenmuster

90 Maschen anschlagen

Bundmuster stricken: 1glatt verschränkt, 2 verkehrt
Nach ca. 2 cm Bundhöhe glatt weiterstricken bis das Strickstück ungefähr 12-13cm mißt.
nach jeweils 18 Maschen einen Marker setzen (5 Marker)
1.Abnehmrunde:bis 2 Maschen vor den Marker stricken und 2 glatt zusammenstricken. Die ganze Reihe so stricken. Danach 2 Reihen glatt stricken.
Diese 3 Reihen 3mal wiederholen.
Jetzt wieder eine Runde abnehmen und eine Runde glatt darüberstricken.
Aud 3x wiederholen.
Danach immer 2glatt zusammenstricken bis nur noch 4 Maschen (gesamt) da sind. Eine kurze I-cord machen und Faden vernähen.

Monkey Socks

Ich wollte auch gerne die monkey-socks machen, die überall so gelobt werden. Leider sind meine 3er Nadeln zu dick oder ich stricke zu locker. Ich bin nicht ganz glücklich wie es bis jetzt aussieht.
Jetzt warte ich auf die Nadeln die ich bei ebay bestellt habe und dann probier ich das Muster vielleicht noch einmal mit dünneren Nadeln.

I wanted to make the monkey socks everyone is writing about. Unfortunatly mine don´t come out the way I would like. The pattern is fine and not hard to make, but I think either I knit to loose or I have the wrong needles. So I have to wait until my new 2mm needles will arrive.

Seit Samstag bin ich in Ravelry und es ist absolut wunderbar. Ich könnte mich darin verlieren ;)
Vor lauter surfen komm ich gar nicht mehr zum Stricken, dabei hätte ich ja x Dinge auf meiner to-do Liste. Ich bin im Pattern-Himmel gelandet.

Since saturday I am in ravelry. And I totally love it. I´m afraid I get lost in ravelry-land ;) Since browsing the whole day I have no time at all to knit, although there are so many patterns I have to try out asap.

Beim Surfen im Netz bin ich über diese Seite gestolpert. Einfach und genial. Ich bin zwar nicht gerade ein Häkelprofi aber bis jetzt schaut das ganz gut aus denke ich.

While surfing the net I found this side. I think it looks simple and a really great idea. I am not a good crocheter but I think until now it dosn´t look bad.

Wollvorrat/Stash

Heute hab ich wieder einmal ein schlechtes Gewissen bekommen, weil ich so viele hübsche kleine Wollreste herumliegen habe. Zwar nett anzusehen, aber eigentlich habe ich sie ja nicht als Deko gekauft;)
Alles recht dünn, am besten mit Nadelstärke 3 zu verarbeiten.

Today, after seeing that pretty wool standing around in my livingroom I really have to think what to do with it. 3mm needles would be perfect. They look pretty I think, but I originally didn´t buy them for decorating my house.

"Birch" von unten aus Kidsilk Night

Mit meinen 2 Bällchen Kid Silk Night in einem zarten lila (ebay ersteigert, wie immer) hab ich angefangen die Birch zu stricken. Mein erstes Tuch und das erste Mal das ich mich mit so einem Muster befasse ;)
Eine clevere Frau hat im Internet die "Birch von unten" aufgeschrieben. 1000Dank!!! So stricke ich jetzt mal solange ich Wolle habe.

With my 2 balls of kidsilk night in soft violett I started to knit "the birch from bottom up". A really clever lady posted the chart in the web. Thank you so much for that. So I knit until my yarn is finished ;)

Pullover aus Manos

Ich wollte unbedingt einen Pullover für mich aus der violetten Manos del Uruguay machen. Nach intensiven Studium von "fitted knits" habe ich jetzt in etwa herausgefunden wie man einen Pullover von oben nach unten strickt. Ich nähe nämlich gar nicht gerne zusammen. Außerdem finde ich die Ranglanärmel immer gut und man kann den Pulli jederzeit anprobieren, um zu sehen ob er auch paßt.


I absolutly wanted to make a sweater for me from my violett manos del uruguay. So I had to study the book "fitted knits" again and again until I found out how to knit a sweater top down. My gauge doesn´t mach with any pattern in the book so I had to do a lot of maths ;) But as I don´t like to sew together the top-down methods seems pretty perfect for me.

So siehts bis jetzt aus/This is how it looks until now.

Manos again ;)

Weil ich die Manos in grün so wunderbar fand, habe ich gleich noch 500g in diesem wunderbaren violett bei ebay ersteigert. Ich finde die Wolle toll, die Farben und den unterschiedlich dicken Faden. Außerdem stricke ich gerne mit Nadeln Nr. 5. Für mich genau richtig. Nicht zu dick und nicht zu dünn ;) Und es geht was weiter!

Because I really love my green manos del uruguay I bought another 500g in this wonderful violetts on ebay. I really enjoy knitting with this wool because it has the perfect thikness for me. On needles 5mm it is a quick knitting and not too thik or to thin needles ;)
